If it runs well and doesn’t have hidden rust thats a SUPER good price for a spider like that. With a little polish and the right marketing that could flip for $5k-8k, easy. too bad i’m so far away... actually, if it drives well it might be worth it to fly out, buy it and drive it back...

That generation Spider is a great little car. Just super fun and comfortable, the early ‘80s ones like that have simple enough electrics that in conjunction with BOSCH L-Jetronic injection means they’re actually quite reliable.

We need an Oppo Special Investigator on this one.

It’s missing the duck tail on the decklid but otherwise seems too clean to be that cheap.

Seriously, if it’s not falling-apart-rust under the paint, and it drives without issue $1500 is a STEAL, even if the interior is a little ratty... and it only looks dirty not beat inside.

A friend of mine in NH has one available in slightly worse cosmetic condition for slightly less money. He’s practically throwing it at me for a test drive, which I intend to take as soon as I have some time to get up there and play - for fun as well as for an article idea I have.
